First Radish Harvest.

I just love radishes. They reward you so quickly and with minimal effort. On April 1st we sowed 5 different varieties of Radish.

A month and 6 days later we have got our first harvest. The French Breakfast variety were are by far the quickest growers. I love their dip dye bulbs. We experimented with the rows – thinning out some more than others. We definitely thinned out the French Breakfast the most and have got the best results from this variety. So we are going to thin out the other rows more and hope that we have some more radishes on our plate soon.

We enjoyed some radishes for our greenhouse lunch. Along with the mixed leaves that came from the soil to our sandwiches. You don’t get fresher than that.
